I’ll be having my first baby early next summer and I know nothing about looking after babies so please point me in the direction of your favourite book recommendations. I see there is a parenting for dummies 😂

There's a really lovely book called What mothers do: especially when it looks like nothing which is so good - it really helps to get your head round where the days will go once your baby is here! It doesn't have much practical advice but it's so good...! Congrats on your pregnancy :)

I'm expecting my first child soon in spring. I've enjoyed reading Emily Osters 'Cribsheet' book. It's straight forward and sets out options for how to parent etc.

Will follow this thread as I need more books to read!

I love love LOVE the Modern Midwife’s Guide to Pregnancy and the one she’s done for post birth. The Positive Pregnancy Book is also very good and easy to read.
Lots of people recommend Emily Oster but I found them too text heavy and hard to absorb personally.
