I am 18 weeks pregnant and think I have thrush. I have been in touch with my doctor this morning and am waiting to hear back. Hopefully they will prescribe me something safe to use while pregnant.
I have also noticed an increase in discharge over this past week. It is sometimes thinner and watery and I can feel wet. Can this happen at this time in pregnancy? And can it be thrush related?
im just so anxious about every change in my body and keep thinking it’s something worse then it probably is!

Increase in discharge is totally normal. There’s a great app called What To Expect, which gives you weekly updates on what you can expect. I found it really reassuring in my first pregnancy ☺️ If you do have thrush, I’m pretty sure canestan is safe to use (obviously after speaking to your doctor!)

I had this at the end of my pregnancy. Think I just had some fanny cream, everything was all fine. X

Quite often a course of pessaries will be prescribed for thrush in pregnancy. You should insert with your fingers rather than the applicator

Thank you all. You’ve reassured me not to panic as much! I’ve never had thrush before but obviously pregnancy is the gift that keeps on giving isn’t it 😂 xx
