Cramps at 34 weeks - Potentially Uterine irritability (UI)?

Last week I had stomach cramps, lasting about 15 seconds, every ten minutes or so for about 3 hours. I took some paracetamol and it passed, the triage dept advised me it was likely Uterine irritability (UI) and nothing to worry about.

5 days later (last night) I had really painful cramps very low down again for about 5 minutes, they didn't pass when I moved position or walked and I felt nauseous for those few minutes. Again, I took paracetamol, but it subsided after about 5 mins and nothing since. I also had the feeling that I needed to go to the loo but didn't.

I have also had for a couple of weeks, a lot of pressure in my pelvis - which is possibly just quite normal at this stage in pregnancy.

Has anyone experienced this? Does it sound like IU or something else? I am 34+4, and this is my first.

Just to add, the midwife told me over the phone it was IU without me going into be seen
