Tearing sensation

Currently 11 weeks pregnant with with dc2, had ds in March via planned csection due to placenta previa so he was only 6 months when I found out I was pregnant again, we weren't trying but after two miscarriages before ds we said we would carry on with the pregnancy. So far the pregnancy has felt uneventful, had two early scans for piece of mind and baby has been fine.

However, when I'm rocking ds to sleep or if I move suddenly I've been having a ripping/tearing sensation in my lower stomach, its never in the same place so it's obviously movement dependent, it's not painful as such but it's a bit like a shock that tears through your body and after a couple seconds it's gone and I'm okay to carry on. Has anyone had two Dc's this close together and experienced anything like this? Uterus tearing scared the life out of me but I'm sure if it was something like this I'd of been poorly by now as it's been happening on and off for a couple weeks and I'm sure it'd be more painful. I'm definitely going to bring it up at my 12 week scan next week just looking to see if anyone else had experienced it?

I may be wrong here but it sounds a bit like round ligament pain from the ligaments stretching. I have heard of this and that it can feel like a sharp, tearing sensation low in the tummy. If that's what it is it is pretty normal but check with midwife if you are worried,

I had this around the same gestation and it was only round ligament pain, but I hadn’t had major abdominal surgery six months prior!

Please speak to your midwife ASAP, don’t wait until your scan. I’m sure it’s only round ligament pain, but you can’t be too careful having had such a recent C-section and complications in your previous pregnancy. I hope all is well Flowers

Hi - it’s round ligament pain. I’ve had it the last few weeks and went to the hospital about it (I’m 32 weeks) but the nurses just said to make sure I was moving slowly etc. If you’re worried speak to your midwife but I described mine as a ripping sensation and had it mainly when I moved or changed position and it was that. It’s mainly gone now thankfully for me. I think I had it badly for about a week and a half.
