Blood/liquid leaking

I just woke up and in between my legs I felt wet. Went to the loo and my whole crotch area (wearing knickers and pyjamas) was soaked. It doesn't smell like wee and it isn't blood. I did a wee in the toilet and when I stood up, there was blood in the toilet too. All the liquid in the toilet was red but there wasn't any clots or like blood had dripped out of me I don't think. There was blood when I wiped, 3 times. I'm 30 weeks. Could the liquid on my pyjamas be my waters?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It does sound like it could be your waters, there's no smell and it's like a clear liquid. It's important to get seen ASAP with the bleeding and being 30 weeks. Have you phoned maternity triage? Is baby moving okay?

He hasn't moved in the 10 minutes since I've been awake but he was moving fine before I went to sleep. Will call maternity now. Thanks.

Sounds good. I'm sure it will be fine - once your waters have gone, they will continue to leak so pop a pad on and take extra clothes!

Yes call maternity assp - best of luck!

Thanks for the comments. I came in and my waters have broken. Had antibiotics and steroids, now we wait to see what happens. No contractions yet😬

Glad you went in and are being looked after. Looks like your baby boy is doing his best to join you for Christmas!

I know, he's too eager for my liking! Hopefully he holds on for just abit longer🤞

Thank you, doing okay so far. Still haven't gone into labour so I'm hoping that they'll let me go home today🤞

Thank you - a midwife was very good and helpful and thouroughly checked baby and took swaps and everything. Didn't seem to be too alarmed though and said it wasn't amniotic fluid so I don't know what caused the gush of liquid! Not labour apparently x
