Hi, I know the resounding answer will be stop testing but my rational mind won’t let me rest. I’ve done a FRER today at 23dpo which looks lighter than my result at 20dpo. Progression looks okay on easy at home tests, and I’m going for a private scan tomorrow at 6+3 so will get definitive answers then hopefully.

Guess I’m just wondering if anyone had similar and went on to have a successful pregnancy?

thanks so much x

You said it yourself - stop testing! These tests are not designed to give you a quantity of hcg, simply a positive or negative. I hope the scan tomorrow helps, but be aware that not everybody sees a heartbeat that early. If you don't, don't worry. Early pregnancy can be so stressful but if you've got no symptoms of miscarriage then do try to relax a bit.

I know you are right! Guess I just need to be reminded of the extra stress it’s causing!! Xxx

Are you definitely 23dpo? You tracked ovulation? If so it makes you 5+2 not 6+3 from (ovulation-14) rather than lmp, unless there’s a typo. If so just go into the scan without any expectations.

I didnt take another after 18dpo so can’t say. Good luck and I hope it all goes well.

A private scan at 24dpo isn't the brightest move as may cause a lot of stress worry and uncertainty. (In my experience anyway) had a pregnancy of unknown location then just a yolk sac and no fetal pole and had to wait a whole 2 weeks not knowing if id had a missed miscarriage or not. Luckily all was okay but I could've done without that stress for sure!

Thank you both for taking the time to reply. Yes you are right @Blue2020 its 5+2 for ovulation but 6+3 based on LMP and the scan shows a gestational sac and yolk sac measuring 5+1 which I was expecting. The main reason for the scan was to rule out an ectopic!

Interestingly I did a first response with more dillute urine and went back to a dye stealer, so even more of a reason now to step away! Need to sit back and let nature take its course xx

Step away from the tests OP, they won't tell you anything at this stage
Good luck

Ah it’s good then that you have ruled out ectopic. Also that it’s measuring to your ovulation date. Good luck with the next several weeks, hopefully won’t feel too long for you until the 12 week scan. (I say that impatiently waiting for my 20 week scan).
