Back story, I have a history of miscarriage 9 in total over the course of 11yrs. My most recent one was a mmc at 12wks baby stopped growing at 6wks but didn't find out until the 12wk scan, this resulted in a major hemorrhage and emergency surgery. I'm now currently 6/7 weeks into a new pregnancy and on Tues i had pink/brown spotting on wiping but nothing on liners. I went to a work meeting on Thursday and when I stood up had a sudden gush of blood, I quickly raced home and changed into a pad as it had soaked the liners I'd had on! From that point it had only half filled a night time pad over 6hrs. The bleeding has slowed right down to not even a quarter of a pad over 24hrs, a few small clots/tissue passed over Fri and sat. No pain or cramping. I have a scan at epu on Tues morning however I also have my first midwife app before the scan. I'm so worried its another mc I think I know deep down that it is. Still have mild nausea but think that's more anxiety then a symptom. I'm almost 39 and really want to have another baby as does my husband. Has anyone had anything similar and been OK? X

So sorry you’re going through this OP. I think you know that it could go either way at this stage. I’ve had 3 pregnancies with bleeding around this stage in each one. Two pregnancies were fine and one wasn’t, so it doesn’t always mean the worst.

Thank you, I know it can go either way and I'm trying to hold out as much hope as possible but I think I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst and anything else is a bonus. My husband will be doing the school runs so I'll be going alone as its such an early appointment, and to be fair I don't want him to see me go through it all again because I know it hurts him probably more so then myself as he has to deal with the loss as aswell as how I feel and how I'm doing physically and mentally. Tues can't come quick enough just so I know xx

Hi OP, so sorry to hear this. It could be a subchorionic hematoma? That can cause serious bleeding in 1st trimester. I've had 3 and 2 felt like proper gushes of blood.
Hope Tuesday comes quickly for you xx

Thank you, you would think after 9 mc and 3 live births I'd be more at ease then this! I think it's making me so anxious because 1) the major hemorrhage and surgery from Sept and 2) my age! this will be the 3rd mc in a row since May this year. Iv been referred to the multiple mc clinic/gynaecologist but that's not until May 25! I'm trying to keep myself busy and distracted and my emotions are all over the place I just want some normality back x

It's never easy, especially when new things pop up. I always wish pregnancy was the same so at least I'd know what to expect. I'm sorry to hear about all your losses, it's a lot to process, especially multiple in the same year.

I'm currently pregnant and they offered me progesterone, it might be something to check in with them about if you've not already had it.

Take care

Thank you for your reply, if this by some miracle is a sticky bean then I will ask for the progesterone. Its never been mentioned before but they did say that usually they wouldn't offer it until you have had 3 or more consecutive mcs which I think is wrong if you have a history of them. X
