Realistically, your body will do what it wants, in its own time. I went from 0 to 10cm in 28mins. Absolutely, f all I could do about it.

Dryshampoofordays · 23/11/2024 21:15

First baby I kept moving on the exercise ball, walking about etc, second baby I was advised to stay active to get things moving but I just felt knackered and things actually kicked off when I relaxed in bed. Listen to what your body is wanting you to do - even if logically it doesn’t seem right. And good luck!

Thank you! I’m just sooo uncomfortable now 😅😅

How exciting OP! It was staying active for me, laps of the hospital. Kerb walking too, I must have looked crazy doing that in the car park. When I wasn't walking I was bouncing on the ball.

20yearagegap · 24/11/2024 06:56

I went for a walk round the block with one foot on the kerb one foot on the road and it really ramped things up,

Twinkletwinklelil · 24/11/2024 07:55

@diggermama @20yearagegap right that’s the plan today then!!
thank you! ♥️

had a nap, spent a lot of time on the ball, did the stair crab walking and a couple of YouTube exercise videos! Ended the day colostrum collecting..
lost my mucus plug more this afternoon too!

fingers crossed 😅

Sounds like you're going I. The right direction @Twinkletwinklelil. Hopefully, your baby will be born imminently.

Oh you poor thing! I remember the days when you're just so uncomfortable and want baby here. Hopefully it'll be today!

westcountrywoman · 25/11/2024 11:05

It may be that the baby's positioned a bit odd so that their head isn't pressing on your cervix well enough to encourage it to dilate. Try getting on all 4s with your bum a bit higher than your head (like you're scrubbing the floor) quite frequently.

Nc546888 · 25/11/2024 12:33

Bouncing on a ball, side steps up stairs. Rocking on all fours

rainbowstardrops · 28/11/2024 12:18

I hope things got started @Twinkletwinklelil

Twinkletwinklelil · 28/11/2024 13:40

Oh blimey! Hope the sweep speeds things up!

Make sure to do things that get your oxytocin flowing, cuddles, massage, looking at your tiny baby grows and imagine holding your baby in your arms, anything that makes you feel loved and happy. Oxytocin is the hormone that makes birth work. So excited for you, giving birth is actually incredible x

Twinkletwinklelil · 28/11/2024 19:54

thank you @rainbowstardrops

@Dryshampoofordays ohhh I’m trying!! Put the Christmas tree up today.. so so happy as dh said I wasn’t allowed to until after the birth! 😂
