Hi all, looking for some advice, I ovulated on the 11th according to my app and me and my partner did the deed the 2 days before the 11th. Last weekend and start of this week I was having tummy/back cramps and felt extremely tired thought it may have been implantation but I went to the doctors as I had unusual discharge and they confirmed it’s a uti, made me think it was implantation as uti symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms so a bit of a bummer. Anyways my periods not due till the 26th so I know there’s still a chance I could be pregnant. Doctor gave me meds for the uti which is a 7 day course and I started taking them on Wednesday, since taking the meds my uti symptoms instantly went away within hours although I’m experiencing some side effects like headaches and tiredness at least the uti is being cleared.
Now you have a bit of the backstory the main reason I’m posting is I just went to the toilet and when I wiped there was a tiny bit of spotting (see pictures) I’m now trying to figure out if it’s from implantation or the uti meds, not getting my hopes up. Im currently 11dpo which is still within the implantation stage…took an early pregnancy test yesterday and this morning and 100% negative it’s a bit inconvenient that the uti is happening around the time of implantation as the symptoms are pretty much the same so don’t want to get my hopes up when it’s possibly just the uti however there is a chance I may be pregnant and as I mentioned since Wednesday when I started the meds all the uti symptoms went I’ve just had a few minor side effects and spotting isn’t listed as a known side effect on the leaflet…I know spotting can happen with utis but my symptoms have gone and even before I went to the doctor, when the uti was at its worst, I didn’t have any spotting.
I know nobody on here can confirm if the spotting is from the uti meds or implantation I’m gonna have to wait till the 26th, just wanted to let this out as it’s been upsetting having all signs of pregnancy just for me to have a uti…but this spotting has made me curious. Also did anyone experience spotting around 11dpo? If so was it heavy or like what’s pictured?
