Hey all just a bit confused lol:

I signed my contract with employers on the 22nd of August 2024

But I started working in the school on the 2nd of September 2024.

I am not sure if the date I signed my contract (22/07/24) would be when I am officially employed or when I actually physically started working in the school (02/09/24)

sorry if thats a dumb question lol

Hi @Njxx , it would be the date you begin to work. On your contract, it should say something ‘date employment commenced’. In schools, it is usually from 1st September even if that is a day the schools are closed. The date you signed the contract is irrelevant 🙂

It’ll be the date you started as you want ll be being paid from that date.
