10 weeks pregnant - toddler kicked tummy

So I've co-slept with my 3 year old overnight as he got himself worked up having seen something about Storm Bert on the tv at my parents after nursery school. I am 10 weeks, nearly 11 weeks, and during the night he has kicked my tummy 2 or 3 times, obviously not intentional. Do I need to ring the EPU when it opens or will everything be ok? I've had no pains or blood. Thank you

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi @Stef92 I’m sorry that must be worrying. I know that they are very well cushioned in there, but personally I would ring the EPU for reassurance in the morning and go with their advice

I think at 10 weeks you would be ok.

At 10 weeks your uterus is still right down in the pelvis, protected by the bones there. Feel for your hip bones - your uterus, and the fetus it's carrying, are below that level. And the fetus is about an inch and a half in size, and cushioned by fluid. It is vanishingly unlikely that a few kicks from a toddler would cause any harm to a pregnancy at that stage.

I'm 23 weeks and our 3 year old jumps all over me still. Honestly, there is no need to worry - they're very well protected in there.

Thank you all 😀

Just wanted to echo what above poster said - your uterus is still under your pubic bone so not possible for toddler's kick to even get near your uterus at the moment 😊
