Is this a new pregnancy??

I had a miscarriage 8 weeks ago, last week I had very small bleeding for one day. Today I took a test and tested a faint positive. I'm wondering if it is a new pregnancy test or retained tissue from the previous, has anyone else experienced this? I am also going to see my doctor to get advice

I didn't want to read and run. Have you had a negative test since your mc?

The only way to really tell is have bloods done for hcg and see if it rises. Hopefully your gp will do this for you xx

Keep testing and see if line gets darker until your appointment x

I had one negative, and that was one they provided me with. All the clear blue ones since have come back positive, but faint like the above x

The CB tests are known to have evap lines that look like convincing positives too, I've had some even within the timeframe. I would try a different brand x

I have read that alot about them, but the line comes up immediately after I have done the test. I have ordered another brand and have booked in with the doctors x

Well, I was in exactly the same position as you and my “is it a new pregnancy ?” will be getting ready for school shortly!!!!

Worried that I had retained tissue along side feeling very unwell, I went for a scan and there was a 7 week little heartbeat and my miracle!

looks and sounds very possibly like a new pregnancy to me!

I don’t subscribe to the darker/lighter lines, a home pregnancy test just tells you that you have pregnancy hormones in your pee that’s it. It’s going to be a scan or blood tests to confirm.

Hey, I am still none the wiser, I was told to go back in 2 weeks and repeat the pregnancy test, I thought this was strange, but I will be going back on Monday xx
