5 weeks help

I have such bad cramping I thought I was going to start my period. Made it to 5 weeks and the cramps are like period pains, i feel so cold but my temp is 37.5c. I feel a but woozy. Anyone else experience this?

I looked up ectopic symptoms and now I have shoulder pain but I think that’s all mental. Blood pressure is fine and I’ve had no bleeding.

Felt freezing cold all of first trimester , can’t comment on the other stuff sorry

I didn't really have any early symptoms, it just felt like I was about to come on my period any minute.
I'm now 21+4

I had cramping, similar to menstrual cramps, every day until I reached the 8 week mark. Now I just get the occasional sharp twinges every few days or so (I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow) which I assume is ligament pain as I can see my uterus starting to poke out above my pubic bone. I had a scan at 7 weeks as mine is an IVF pregnancy and the nurse said cramping is completely normal.

I had this, the cramps were waking me up in the night, and called GP who got me scanned at EPU to rule out ectopic (they didn't even ask about shoulder pain - the cramps were symptom enough). Call the doctor, get it checked out. Fingers crossed for you!

I spoke to my GP and they sent me to EPAU, had an early scan to rule out ectopic. All fine apart from they couldn’t see anything, just the gestational sac. And they said it’s measuring less than 5 weeks. I now have the two week wait to be rescanned.

Doesnt sound good does it?

@Duckduckgoooose hi! I’m in the exact same boat as you. Currently between 5-6 weeks.

on the day of what I thought would make me 5 weeks, I was having one sided pain and shoulder pain. Docs told me to go to hospital, scan showed the exact same, only a sac, no ectopic, said I was more like 4.5 weeks.

looks as though I ovulated later than I thought, that’s all. If you look at the image below, if we were less along than we thought, (4.5 weeks perhaps) to even see a sac is a really good sign.

by the next scan, (6.5 weeks) there is a chance we might see everything as well as a heart beat- but that’s just a chance as this can take up to 7 weeks. Also to bear in mind, the shape of your uterus (nothing to worry about) like mine caused her to not be able to see as well as mine tilts backwards so harder to see anything in the early stages.

@JDecember21 yes she said my uterus was tilted backwards! It’s hard not to worry isn’t it!

I got a positive test on the 8th nov super faint, I haven’t done any clear blue and I’m worried it will make me more anxious.

@Duckduckgoooose omg how weird we are literally the same !!!. I got my first faint positive on 7th December so only one day before. My uterus tilts back too😂😂

if we can find any comfort at all in anything I would say, a lot of the ladies I’ve spoken to on here have had the same story with only seeing a sac. So try not to lose hope. Keep me updated on how your scan goes, I bet when we go we will be able to see much more!!!

have you had any other worrying symptoms? Or is everything else normal?

my one sided pain is completely gone now funnily enough.

oh yes, stop testing for sure it does no good!! The fact that I’ve no period is enough for me now plus all the tiredness I’ve been feeling and horribly sore boobs x

My boobs don’t really hurt anymore and I am
cramping like crazy. I’m still tired but on antiemetics which make you tired, as I have awful sickness (which isn’t awful at the moment so could be bad news or the antiemetics are working grand?!)

I need to stop thinking about it and wait 13 days (not that I’m counting). I’m so over this! 😂

Hi OP, no bleeding is good news and also great that it's not an ectopic
For under 5 weeks that's perfectly normal not to see anything apart from the sac at most.
Fingers crossed all develops as it should in the next 2 weeks, good luck

@Duckduckgoooose oh bless you honestly I’m the same. I feel like I’m going crazy at the moment every little symptom I’m thinking the worst but genuinely I think it’s good to remember that your symptoms are going to feel different every day and that’s normal. Hopefully once we’ve had our next scan will feel better. Sending lots of love. Xx
