I am getting sooooo out of breath doing the smallest of tasks and it is really worrying me. I am only 6 weeks but I feel as if I am 38 weeks pregnant! I can't even run a bath without getting lightheaded and out of breath. Is this normal? I am getting a little bit worried on how easily I am out of breath so early on in pregnancy! Even walking upstairs slowly kills me. I am not overweight and relatively healthy.

I’m really feeling this too OP and don’t remember it with my first. I’ve always got a stuffy nose too which isn’t helping and I’m not sure if that’s pregnancy related or a lingering cold I’m struggling to shake.

I've had this from very early on this time and it's still happening now at 21 weeks.
I seem to have the lung capacity of a 99 year old

I’ve had this with both my pregnancies, I think it’s to do with increased blood volume but I could be wrong? In my first pregnancy I would get really dizzy with it too but thankfully this time I’m just feeling like I’m old and unfit 🫤

I never knew this was a thing but my Mum said that's how she always knows if someone is pregnant, gasping for air mid sentence😂 Slight exaggeration but not far off. I remember having to catch my breath just while talking. So yes, I think it's normal if it's that common. It does pass. If it's lingering speak to your midwife it can also be a sign of low iron.

Yeah I had this and a midwife said possibly low iron. I wasn’t but it might be worth checking ??
