Hello everybody, just after some reassurance if possible please! I have seen other forums but they are all later first/early second trimester outcomes and was just wondering if anybody has had it later on in pregnancy and what happened? I am 25+4 and my daughter has just been diagnosed with slapped cheek (I thought it was just a cold until the bright red cheeks appeared yesterday) Called the midwife straight away and was told today that I have no antibodies for the virus and will need to go in for more blood tests to confirm if I have had it recently and may need some scans. Has this happened to anybody around the same stage and what was the outcome please?

Don’t goggle because that might scare you and realistically there isn’t anything you can do now. Hopefully you won’t catch it so it won’t be an issue but you should be able to get some extra scans.

@SleepyRedPanda I have already googled unfortunately, thankful I am out of the most 'risky' stage which is before 20 weeks but just wasn't sure if they followed the same protocol if you were over 20 weeks when getting it. I mean I don't know how easy it is to catch but my daughter has been attached to me so I would be surprised if I don't get it from her!

@Mummymoo2022 how are you? What was the outcome? Hope your well, I'm currently going through the same thing at 32 weeks and terrified.

@Firsttimemom1 I was fine in the end, this was back in November! So I never had the antibodies and had another two blood tests but somehow managed to avoid getting it and still don’t have any antibodies! No impact on the baby at all, he was born a healthy 8lbs 13oz on the 3rd March. Just keep an eye if you get any symptoms and if you do just let them know and they will see if you have it and just keep a closer eye on babies growth etc. I didn’t get any symptoms at all and my daughter was coughing in my face and sharing our bed!

@Mummymoo2022 I had symptoms last week but my bloods say I still haven't had it got to have another blood test in 4 weeks and see then its just a long wait and a worrying one, glad you're all good and baby is lovely and healthy it's such a worry isn't it!
