Just looking for some advice as I have no clue how this works
I am 21 weeks pregnant I am on SSP due to pregnancy related issues so I only quality for £116 per week sick pay - will I not receive SMP of £184 when I go on maternity leave end of February due to not making over £123 a week whilst on sick - the answers on internet that I’ve found have confused me

thank you

If your average over weeks 17-25 is less than £123 then you won't qualify for SMP. You'd need to claim Maternity Allowance instead. The only difference is you wouldn't get the 6 weeks at 90% of salary; you'd just get the set Maternity allowance amount of £184.03 a week or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is less)
