False positive?

Hi, just looking for a bit of advice. I took a clear and simple rapid early pregnancy test yesterday, four days before I am due on. I got this faint line in the window and thought I'd try again today, but today's test the line just went longways as if it was a faulty test? I am now worrying I am potentially not pregnant, even though I was trying not to get hopes up anyway. Anyone else had a similar situation with these tests?

Hi @Hello123x ... I can see a faint line on one and none on the other.

I would go and get a first response test - they're a bit pricier but I have never had a false positive from them - they picked up my pregnancy 5 days before my period was due and the 2 lines came up pregnant within about 20 seconds - really dark line as well so couldn't be missed x

Thank you so much for coming back to me, I sadly did a clear blue early response the next day and it was negative. Couldn't find any first response. I haven't missed my period yet so you never know, but sadly lost a bit of hope. There was definitely a line on that test so it's odd.

Hi! I am currently almost 14 weeks pregnant, so it was most definitely not a false positive. After speaking around, those are much rather than a false negative. So if you are getting a dull line, keep positive and test in a few days. A line is a line I say.
I waited about 5/6 more days then took another test a few days after my period was due and low and behold, there it was.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Huge congratulations on the pregnancy 🥰 I did a clear blue today and got a faint positive but I’ve started to bleed so I’m losing the pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken. Extremely reluctant to continue trying.
