Miscarriage to come ?

Hello ladies !
I had my positive test on October 25 (first test at the very top), then the lines had progressed well each day. I had stopped making them.
I've had intermittent nausea for 1 week.
1 vomit this morning.
Tonight I have a bad feeling: I do a test (the one with the red arrow): the HCG level seems to be dropping.
I must be expecting to lose this baby, I suppose?

Have you heard of the hook effect? It might be that your HCG levels are now too high and throwing the test off. Try again and dilute your urine with water x

Try not to worry.

Did you take the tests at exactly the same time after drinking exactly the same amount of water from the day before. I bet not.

The lines look fine to me but ultimately what will be will be. I know it’s easy to say and I’ve had a miscarriage myself so I know the worry. I also have 2 DC now.

No signs of a miscarriage here. You’ve got a positive test. That what matters

Thank you all ..
And I guess if I'm nauseous and not bleeding, that's pretty encouraging ...
Good night to you all and thank you again for your reassuring words.

Hey op, I found that for me those tests didnt get any darker after about 7 weeks and actually got a little lighter.

I am now 20 weeks pregnant and just had my nhs scan last week.

If you are concerned, I would recommend a private scan at around 8 weeks for reassurance.

Thank you very much
I wish you a healthy pregnancy <3
Maybe it is the “hook effect” mentioned above (I learned something today !)

EVEN if I am at approximately 7 weeks of amenorrhea which makes the hook effect unlikely (according to internet)
Only time will tell if the embryo survives or not.

That's about how my tests looked at the same time as blood tests confirmed doubling. They're just not massively accurate. Try not to read too much into it.

For science :
The hook effect is real

When I woke up at 5am to pee, I did a test (the one above). Then I diluted my urine (which was highly concentrated initially) by half with water: and here's the test below: darker!

I am about 5 weeks pregnant, i.e. 7 weeks of amenorrhoea (and only one embryo).
