Hi guys
I'm new on here and really looking for some advice on pgta testing. At 36 I realized I had an AMH of 5.1 so I decided to freeze my eggs and successfully froze 6 mature eggs.
Earlier this year, I'm now 39, I decided to try for a baby with donor sperm. Of the 6 eggs I got 2 blasts. On my first time I became pregnant and had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks and had to have an ERPC or D&C as it was called. The results from the hospital found no abnormalities.
My second blast however did not take and now I'm starting the whole Ivf process all over again.
I have been advised to do PGTA testing with this round. However I have subsequently learned that my AMH is now only 2.5 so the chances are quite low of getting many/any blasts. But from what I have read on here the number of eggs can vary from round to round so perhaps I could end up with more eggs/embryos/blasts.
But I have to decide and pay for the pgta testing BEFORE I gain any knowledge of how many eggs are growing which is very frustrating. Obviously if I was to only get a small amount that lead to 1/2 blasts I would be inclined to take my chances.
So I am so torn as to whether I should pay the money for the testing or save this money towards another round if need be. Has anyone been in this predicament? Any advice would be so welcomed.
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
