How do you track your pregnancy?

Before the dating scan of course. Do you go by your LMP like they do at the booking appointment or do you go by when you ovulated (if you track it)?

Doesn't make much difference I suppose, just curious. As I just changed my pre mom app to track pregnancy and It just made me think. It will bug me if it says 4 weeks when I know I'm actually only 3+4. With my other 2 i always tracked it by when I ovulated and by the time I got to the dating scan it was spot on with my dates.

Maybe a boring post sorry 😂

I've always tracked it from LMP until dating scan. The day you ovulate and the day implantation occurs can differ by a few days so until the dating scan you won't know anyway.

With DD I could have told you to the minute, both LMP and conception as we were tracking ovulation. This time round you’re lucky if I can correctly tell you how many weeks I am 😂

LMP initially just to keep it simple but, although not tracking ovulation, I knew it would be different as I have long cycles and ovulate late.
It turned out to be 10 days behind what LMP would put me at.

I tracked my ovulation so I went by that -2 weeks for my estimated LMP. With my first baby I ovulated 10 days later than the typical ‘day 14’, this time it was only 3 days later so I gave my LMP to the midwife etc and didn’t bother correcting it or saying that I would be a lot earlier than it.

Oh and congratulations.

By ovulation as I have PCOS and my LMP date would usually be massively out.
