C section date query

If they book you in for a c section is it before or after your due date. My due date is 29th December just a query. Thanks

Generally 39w is the aim

Yeah they go for 39 weeks, I was 39 weeks on a weekend so they booked me for the Monday

Okay thanks so if I be 39 weeks on the sunday 22nd Dec so could be that week worried as that will be Xmas week 😅

23rd and 24th will be normal working days so could potentially be one of those. If not then 27th onwards.

It's usually in week 39, although they'll want to avoid Christmas itself I'd expect.

DD was 39+3 for planned section. Originally they'd wanted 39+2 but my consultant wasn't available so we pushed it back a day.

Yes be interesting tl see what day rhey choose I mean surely they have consultants/ doctors there during Xmas

Consultant will be on call Xmas day and Boxing Day, same as on a Sunday. So no planned elective sections so you don’t need to worry about being given Xmas day!
