I’m 39+4 and had a membrane sweep two days ago - my midwife told me cervix was high and 1cm dilated but she did a thorough sweep. Had another sweep booked for this morning with another midwife, only to be told my cervix is too high to reach and closed, and that the previous midwife must have ‘not done a proper sweep’. I know dont know what to think - I definitely had a proper sweep on Wednesday, my midwife told me so. Can the cervix close? Feeling really deflated as I’ve an induction booked on Monday and trying to avoid pitocin. Can anyone give any advice?
