Recovery after surgical abortion- what’s your experiences?

Hi all

I had a SA three days ago. On the day of the procedure I had some bleeding but that stopped and I haven’t had anything since. Is this normal? Are you able to share your experiences?

Some of my pregnancy symptoms disappeared straight away like the nausea whilst others are still here. X

How far along were you, OP? Many years ago I had a surgical abortion at around 13 weeks, and physical recovery was quick.

I had one around 9 weeks under GA. Felt a bit woozy from the GA that afternoon and was back at work the next day. I don’t remember any other symptoms.

I was 7 weeks. After the procedure I was fine. Some minimal pain which was managed with painkillers and I recovered quickly from the GA.

The hours that followed I had light spotting but nothing since the first day. Emotionally I have been up and down but this was expected.

Did you have much bleeding afterwards?

Had my d&c for a 10 week mmc 5 weeks ago.
Bled after surgery then started intermittent bleeding on day 4 after my dr assured my this was normal and it lasted 2 weeks i have since had a normal period and felt fully recovered normal since then. Im mot sure of you're circumstances but take care mentally its a hard journey to process.

I haven’t had any bleeding yet (day 4) but I have had very minimal spotting. I am waiting to see how the next few days play out.
