Had a private scan today for a 4D scan and sonography found a slight high measurement for amniotic fluid amount and went on ti refer me to a hospital for a second opinion scan at Pembury hospital (yet to be booked, I will ring tomorrow)

what does this mean can it be ok? I’m 26 weeks. Has anyone had the same result

Most often no reason is found for extra amniotic fluid. Try not to worry, wait for your NHS scan and step away from dr Google.

I've had high amniotic fluid in both my pregnancies. Mild polyhydramnios in my first and moderate in the second with absolutely no issues except additional growth scans, try not to worry too much, hopefully the referral is just a precaution

Ohh I'm glad yours are all ok 😊 I'll find out soon but that's brought some relief x

I had this in my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. Had extra scans and all was fine.

Had this in my last pregnancy, albeit wasn't picked up until I was 39 weeks - I was high risk for other reasons so they booked me in for a c-section a couple of days later (did offer induction but I declined that). No problems or complications and baby was absolutely fine

Ah that's a good result x I'm planning on a birthing centre with a pool so hopefully no section required but again no shame if I need to be rushed somewhere
