MMC?

Hi everyone

Went for a private scan today & was sent over the report not so long afterwards

Says: GA 8w 6d

However, the report states no fetal movements or heartbeat is seen, so I have to go to the EPU for a Transvaginal scan for further management

CRL measurement 2.20cm (22mm)

Has anyone ever had similar happen & it turn out to be ok? Obviously expecting the worst

I’ve read if the CRL measurement is 7mm or over with no heartbeat then to expect bad news

Did they not mention this during the scan? Or did you not see a heartbeat? Seems awful for them to not discuss at the time.

Sorry, yes the sonographer did mention at the time that she couldn’t trace a heartbeat, but the receptionist sent over the more in depth / full report afterwards

Hi, I had similar earlier this year and it was a missed miscarriage. I'm really sorry you're going through this, hopefully the EPU can get you in very soon so you can get answers. The waiting is so hard xx

So sorry OP, it does sound like a MMC.
I think you need to prepare yourself for the worst. Have you got a good support network around you?
