We were told baby was a girl at 16 weeks 6 days.

Baby was very awkward and had her legs crossed the entire time 😅 while I'm excited baby is a girl, I can't see what the tech could see.

I can't either OP, i'd be waiting for confirmation at my 20 week before announcing anything

I'm glad it's not just me. I think I'd have preferred if they had said they were unsure and to come back. Our 20 week scan is soon, so not long to wait ☺️

My pictures weren't the most clear either but during the live scan it was very obvious and they were pointing out the 3 lines and talking me through why they were saying girl and not boy. I came away with no doubt about what I had seen despite the poor pics.

Chances are the sonographer on yours did see what they needed to see otherwise you'd think they'd just say they couldn't tell but, if the legs were crossed and you couldn't see what they were talking about, then I wouldn't trust it 100%

Thankfully not long to wait for some confirmation

In my experience when you are looking at a scan of a boy you can very clearly see a penis.
I have two boys and I am having a girl this time and there is no mistaking my son's scans with my daughters.
Also, if the sonographer was confident your baby is a girl I would be inclined to trust them. They are trained to interpret scans far better then any of us and also they are looking at a moving image rather than screenshots. If they weren't confident or couldn't see properly I doubt they would have just told you girl for the sake of it, they would have got you back in for a rescan. I do agree these photos aren't the best, but they look more like my daughters than my sons.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

I also have two boys and while there's a 50/50 chance I 100% expected to be told I was having my third boy, so that could be part of my doubt 😅 but of course, like you say, they know what they're looking at, whereas I haven't a clue 😂

I hear you! After two boys I was shocked as well 🤣
