Hi

So I’m on cycle day 58 no period, last period was 16th September.

Since having my baby almost 2 years ago my periods have been regular since 8 months postpartum.

I have tested negative multiple times, but I have had consistent sore boobs and I’m massively bloated!

Is it normal for them to just stop for no reason?

Anyone else have this happen?

What was your outcome?

I’ve read that multiples can cause a negative test, has anyone had this happen?

I’m 41 for context. Hoping it’s not perimenopause 😭

Hiya, the only time this happened for me is when I took the morning after pill. I had a very regular cycle and then didn’t come on for three months after the pill. I was surprised as I have used it in the past and never experienced this. I did loads of pregnancy tests which were all negative. Eventually I was called in for a blood test but started the very next day. That period was heavy and somewhat painful at one point where I passed a clot! My blood test didn’t suggest I was pregnant and my GP thought it may have been a hormonal imbalance. X

Sorry OP, I'm 42 next month and it does sound like perimenopause.

My cycles (aside from pregnancy) have been like clockwork my entire life then went haywire about a year ago. They've been all over the place, ranging from 30-60 days. I've completely skipped periods for no reason, it's mental.

If you're TTC then all hope is not lost..... I'm currently 20+4 and got my BFP on cycle day 54

@sel2223

I have a doctors appointment next week l, hopefully will find out what is going on. I’ve been so regular and now to miss 2 in a row is crazy!

I have an almost 2 year old, not actively trying but if I did fall pregnant it would be a lovely surprise. I’m pretty sure I’m out now though, over a year off of any contraceptive and I’ve only fallen pregnant once in April which all ended in an early miscarriage.

If you don’t mind me asking how far along were you when you found out on cycle day 54?

Did you have symptoms?

I don’t track my cycle for ovulation so I have no idea when I will have my next period.

Hopefully you can get some answers from your GP, mine was pretty useless.

I had DD1 when I sad 37 and we haven't used contraception since so 4 years and there wasn't even a sniff of a BFP until his one - I had very much ruled myself out too especially with the sudden change to my cycles and was no longer tracking anything.

I didn't even think about it until testing on day 54 as I'd previously skipped periods and not been pregnant. The only thing that made me test was that I was actually away for a few nights and randomly threw up at breakfast! I would have been just over 5 weeks at that point I think. No other symptoms at that point.

Only took the test to rule it out so was extremely surprised.
