Who is still waiting (im)patiently after 40 weeks?

I’m a FTM and due date was yesterday and convinced my little boy is very comfortable and active in the bump. I’ve given up with the doctors who have reluctantly pushed me for an induction on Thurs due to my BMI but found out today Thurs isn’t even guaranteed because of availability of beds. So god knows when anything will happen 😅

I’ve given up trying all the tricks in the book to help induce spontaneous labour as they’re not doing anything. I’ve even had a couple of sweeps and no success. So now I’m literally waiting for either signs of labour or for my induction. I know it’s 3 days but I’m going into my 4th week of mat leave and blooming hell I am bored af!

Anyone else in a similar position?? Would be nice to vent/ rant with someone else 😅

I'm in a similar space - I'm 40 weeks on Thursday but feeling every hour that goes by. Also a first timer. I'm surprised they're happy to book you in for an induction and are giving you sweeps so soon! The average spontaneous labour for a first time pregnancy is 41+5 so we've ages yet.

@TheAlot a few people have said this to me but the hospital trust I’m giving birth at have very strict policies surrounding BMI and seem to very pro-intervention.
