Miscarriage at 4 weeks?

Bit of backstory first; I have a really short cycle usually 18 - 20 days. Usual periods are pretty heavy and always get some clots so very normal for me.

I took a pregnancy test the week after I ovulated (12/10) which to my surprise came back positive it was one of those cheapy Amazon ones so to be sure I went to Tesco and got one of their own brands and took it the next morning - this also came back positive and was pretty strong considering how early I would have been. Did about 8 more the days after all positive and a clear blue on the 27th which dated me 2-3 weeks.

Friday just gone I woke up and had bright red bleeding which was quite heavy, also had clotting throughout the day and I rang the GP who told me to go to the hospital. I went to urgent care on the Friday night tested positive at the hospital and they told me to just wait it out to see whether I’ve miscarried as it’s my first pregnancy and we don’t know what the norm is going to be with my body. And can’t scan me till 6 weeks so it’s going to be a long painful week and a bit of waiting! I did bleed a bit on Saturday with more clots and spotted on Sunday. This morning had a tiny bit of spotting but this is brown now. I’m fully expecting to have lost it but has anyone had any experience of having what they thought was miscarriage but wasn’t?

Hey, I'm sorry to say but it sounds like you miscarried. The constant clotting would make me think that. Test again in a week or so and see if it's a lot fainter or negative. ❤️

Hi OP, I'm sorry but it does sound like you've had a chemical pregnancy, which is the term used to describe a very early miscarriage (before 5 ish weeks) where the pregnancy does not begin to develop following implantation.
I'm sorry you're going through this
