Has anyone ever tested 6 days before period and got a negative then tested later and got a positive?

Hi all,

We are currently trying for a second baby to give my 1 year old daughter a sibling. However when we was trying for my daughter it happened so quickly, we have only been trying for 2 cycles.
Anyway I'm due on my period in 6 days. And I've tested using the first response and it's negative.
I don't know but I just have a feeling I genuinely might be pregnant but it could be me just been obsessed with the idea and I'm not really pregnant.
Has anyone ever tested 6 days before period and had a negative and then tested later a day after missed period or even the day period is due and had a positive?

Thanks xx

I have. I'm set to be a FTM (29 weeks pregnant). I thought I had a UTI and went to docs a few days before my period was due and they did a test which was negative - but the Dr was REALLY keen I did another one in a few days, which I did (I think about 2 days after my period) and obviously that one was positive.

Yes, it's still very early.
I no longer test before missing a period

This kinda happened to me this month. 11 and 13dpo BFN not a hint of a second line

Faint positive 17dpo and 18dpo

Positive digital 19dpo

I'm still not trusting it as I had a chemical last month which was a shock but so far heading in the right direction

Hey, sorry just jumping in as I saw your comment and it’s given me a tiny bit of hope LOL.

I don’t know exactly when I ovulated but I’m sure I ovulate later than clue predicts based on previous pregnancies which unfortunately led miscarriages and how far along I was compared to how far I thought, it was always out by 2 weeks. Anyway based on this I think I may have ovulated around 25/26 Oct potentially, I was due on Tuesday and still haven’t come on, but getting negative results - but my body is convincing me I’m pregnant as I’m getting mild cramping every day on and off for 4 days now - only ever had this when pregnant, and dizziness on and off. Xx

Hope the same happens to you xxxxx

I'm fortunate enough that this is for a second child and it's a bit sad it isn't as exciting as last time because you know so much more about losses and fertility once you're a mum but just the way it is I guess :(

Thank you darling. I will be excited but scared when it does happen following 2 missed miscarriages, it’s always daunting isn’t it, sending lots of positive angel dust your way x
