12DPO, BFP, Feel like I’ve got a UTI?

Hi everyone,

I feel like I’m going through a rollercoaster this week! I have an appointment with the doctor over the phone tomorrow about this and then will ring my own gp on Monday morning for an appointment but in the mean time I’m just reaching out to see if anyone else has had similar symptoms.

i am only 12DPO but I have taken 15+ positive pregnancy tests, some of which below. Lines are darkening every other day, I have extremely sensitive nips and tiredness also.

the problem is since I found out, at 10DPO had very strange, constant feeling of fullness down there, like my bladder is always big and obviously needing a wee lots. It’s kind of similar to a UTI in that it’s a low level kind of constant stingy feeling in the bladder, I can feel my bladder 24/7 sort of sitting there, but when I go to wee it doesn’t sting or anything like a usual UTI. It comes and goes but it’s there most of the time.

my question is is this a normal part of early pregnancy or do you think it’s a UTI / cystitis..? I’ve also ordered a UTI test kit arriving tomorrow. The problem is, now I’ve got into my head that somehow it’s the UTI that’s given me all these positive pregnancy tests and that I’m not pregnant afterall… but surely the tests wouldn’t be darkening etc??

forgot to mention that I saw online (stupid mistake I know to be googling) that a UTI can cause a fake positive.

feel like I’m going a bit crazy!

thanks for reading x

Go to a chemist tomorrow and get your pee tested. Pretty sure you don't need a doctor for UTIs now.
