Hello. I'm taking cyclizine for nausea. I felt it was working really well taking 3x a day ... morning, afternoon and night. However now I don't feel it working. I seen a few people say they took at night.

So just wondering what does everyone else do? Take all 3 before bed? Or something else? Please share and thank you :)

As far as I remember it’s meant to be spread out for at least a number of hours, think it was every 6/8 hours , I didn’t know this not sure if it causes any harm worth looking into I can’t remember , at the start I was talking some as close as 2 hours until I changed tablets
they made me very dizzy I don’t think taking all 3 at once will be beneficial as you’ll end up having to take more during the day

I changed to Ondansetron so much better for me personally , worth speaking to a doctor

I took cyclizine 3 times a day - morning, lunch and night from about 5 weeks.
im still on it now at 21 weeks but have 2 other medicines with it. From about 10 weeks it stopped working effectively on its own. You may find the effects wear off and will need to be put on more than one medication to feel any better. Defo speak to your Dr!

I've been on it for 5 days so very new but I'm taking it at around 6am, then going back to sleep for an hour as i read it takes 90mins to fully work. Then at about 3pm and again before bed at around 10pm.

If it gets worse I think I'll bring them closer together say 6am 12pm 6pm and just deal with feeling sick at night.

You may need to change medication though as for some people it stops working

With my daughter I had to take it before lifting my head from my pillow! I helped but I was still quite sick but could manage normal life.
With my second pregnancy it didn't help as much and I was still having to have time off sick and the sickness caused me to be dizzy and have a fall. I switched to prochlorpreazine which helped a bit but I was still quite sick and was on the verge on asking for something else when I lost the pregnancy.

I took morning lunch and dinner but it did nothing for me. On Prochlorperazine now and it’s working much better. If it doesn’t work for you go back to the drs, they really shouldnt prescribe cyclizine I’ve never heard of it work for anyone. All the best, it’s so shit but finding the right medication can make it so much better.
