32 weeks - mild period cramp, rock hard bump

I was with the midwife a few days ago baby measured 8 days bigger heart rate 127, everything seemed fine. The day after I started getting this awful rock solid bump at the top...it goes away during the night as when I wake up my bump seems soft for a whole 5 mins then it's rock hard again, 3rd day it's been like this. As I was driving today I got mild period cramps low down. I went to the toilet, but now they are still lingering, just feels as though my period is about to start. Baby is moving, not as much today but I think he's changed position! I can still feel movements not worried about that (or should I be?) There just in different places.. I've had braxton hicks for the last few weeks - bump would become tight/hard and would release after a few seconds. Where as now my bump is just constantly hard, when I press down on where its hard it feels like it's bruised in some parts? Have tried sitting on ball to see if baby changes position but he's not..
TMI..For the last 10 days I've had soft stools, not so much 'loose' (sorry!)
Is this all apart of pregnancy? This is my first so I'm pretty clueless. Anyone any experience with this? Will call hospital if needs be just wanted to see if all these symptoms are just a normal part of being pregnant! Thanks :-)

That sounds like braxton hicks - or at least my experience of them! Does drinking water, resting, using the toilet - help at all?
Obv, anything out of the ordinary for you give triage a wee call or check in with your midwife.

Oh really! Maybe that's all it is then. Seems to have eased off now that I've been sat in the sofa for a while.
Thanks for your reply
