How to cope with constant feeling of faintness?

I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and have spent the whole day feeling faint I had to go to town and nearly passed out twice while standing in queues, and now I am home I feel no better. Even sitting or lying down makes me feel lightheaded. I had high bloodpressure on Monday when I saw the midwife, so is this maybe linked? Is there anything I can do to make it better? I thought maybe having somehting to eat would help but so far it hasn't. I just want to lie down but my head won't stop spinning.

You might want to call the delivery unit and ask to go in for monitoring - high blood pressure can cause further problems and fainting/dizziness can indicate a deterioration.

Do you have any other symptoms like swelling, flashing lights or headaches?

I don't have any swelling (since the beginning of the week I can't get my ring on but that hasn't got any worse) but I do have a headache and my eyes do feel funny. I am going to try and get some sleep and head down to the maternity unit if I feel no better tomorrow. I have eaten a good dinner and put my feet up all evening but it hasn't made it any better so I think I will go in just to be on the safe side.

Good plan - best of luck - I got pre-eclampsia last time and it started off at about 35 weeks.
