I'm 6w2d pregnant fur the first time & over the last 2/3 days I've been getting a lot of bouts of cramping.

Should I be concerned & speak to the gp or am I over reacting?

Hey! I remember with my pregnancy being so freaked out about this at 6 weeks that I called 111! They basically told me not to worry and that it's absolutely normal due to everything stretching to get ready for a little baby! For reassurance though I did book in for a private early scan as they can normally hear the heartbeat around 6/7 weeks after and that definitely gave me some peace of mind once I'd heard it. Good luck with your pregnancy 😊

I had this last week and called Tommy's, who advised I see my GP. I was referred to EPU to make sure it wasn't ectopic. The cramps were like period pains but no bleeding - some woke me up, some were just a little bit uncomfortable. It wasn't ectopic (they did a scan and checked me over) but I'd get it checked out. 😊 FYI I'm a week ahead of you and the cramps have hugely eased off now...but now have morning sickness. 🫣

Thank you both.

I have a private scan booked for next Saturday but I'm really bothered about these cramps.

I might ring 111 this evening and see what they advise
