Hi just wondering if anyones had this before, im 32 weeks 3 days and had some spotting for the past 2 weeks when i wipe. Ive been to the hospital multiple times to be checked and everything has been fine. Urine came back clear swab came back as thrush but i had treatment for this 2 weeks ago. Everytime I've rung the triage recently they've said to get in touch if i have clots or more than a £2 coin amount, im just wondering if anyone’s experienced this and what it turned out to be in the end. Should mention i have been having tightenings which i have told the midwife but they’ve said this is normal and is likely to be braxton hicks. All babys movements are normal as well.

When you’ve gone in have they examined you? I’m 31 weeks and had bleeding on and off throughout but it got more constant recently, they examined me and turns out I have cervical ectropian. It’s harmless to baby but is hormonal and common x

Ye they did a speculum twice but she didn,t mention anything, just a bit worried as one midwife says its normal then another will say any bleeding needs to be checked out.

@Wsandy bleesing is common but not ‘normal’ so I’m told, so it should always be checked. They didn’t see any cervical ectropian when they examined you? And did they swab to see if there is any infection?

last time I went in with bleeding, they put me on the movement/monitor thing then examined me and did a swab, said it is cervical ectropian again, the swab later turned out to say I had an infection too so I had antibiotics for that. They also sent me for a growth scan as a precaution where they checked the growth of baby, placenta function and amniotic fluid and found all normal which was really reassuring. Maybe try pushing for that as an extra check?

Hi so they did a swab and it cane back as thrush and i had treatment for that it was over a week ago now, but ive gotten in contact with my named midwife as triage haven't been very helpful they just keep saying its normal, but the midwife is going to give me another swab to do because of still spotting. I did have a growth scan around a week ago for bump being too big but everything was fine. Last time they popped me on the monitor it was all fine but she had to do my blood pressure 4x to get a normal reading and then said it was fine. The time before when i was on the monitor i was also having regular tightenings every 3 minutes but it only happens in the evening

Yes, daughter
turns out her infection markers were off the scale and she had a uti, antibiotics not working and not she’s really poorly and had antibiotics changed, very dehydrated, yet not concerned!😟

When did you have the speculums? I had some third trimester spotting, can't remember exactly how many weeks I was but around the same time as you and they did a speculum which led to slightly heavier spotting for a good few days, maybe even a week. They just said to go back in if the bleeding increased enough to fill a pad or if I got bad cramps. It all turned out fine, no explanation for the initial bleeding but I had my baby full term x

I had the speculums about a week ago but it was one and then one the next day i did refuse the 3rd time i went if because i explained it might have been causing the bleeing, i did contact my community midwife and shes given me another swab to do so hopefully something comes back from that, hopefully will go to full term i havent had any cramping really just on and off but baby is breach atm i think
