OVERDUE AGAIN! Please come and cheer me up until IT happens!!!

I am now 41wks with no.3. DS was 9 days late and DD was 12 days late (induced).

I had a sweep on thursday but it has had no effect. I will be induced Thursday if nothing has happened.

I just didn't want to have to be induced again! Am trying to think positive and remind myself that no matter what the LO will be here shortly but I am still a bit down and fed up and just desperate to NOT BE PREGNANT anymore!

Anyone want to wait with me???

Bless you Soph i went over 14 days with dd2 when i was induced and know that feeling nothing worked and i had to leave my shiny new birth pool to go into hosp. However induction wasn't at all as bad as i had expected and she is now fast asleep by me and 13 weeks already! LO will be here by this time next week for definate so try and rest as much as you can this week!

I'm only a day over, but trying to avoid a section if I've not gone naturally in the next 10 days.

I'm booked in for a sweep on Friday if I've not started before then.

This will hopefully be my second vBAC, which is why I'm not allowed to be induced.

Someone did pass on a thread from last year about prostaglandins being 10x more effective if ingested IYKWIM I wouldn't normally ingest, but it might get to that if the sweep doesn't work for me

Even the dcs are telling me that baby is just too big to be carrying around and should come out now. But baby hasn't listened yet

tried that bm at term plus 13 in desperation didn't work for me so wouldn't reccomend, likewise pinapple, long walks, sex, nipple stimulation, abd i bounced so much on my birthing ball i got sea sick!

Go for a walk. At least 45 minutes.

Eat some rhubarb and custard and then have curry and rhubarb again tonight.

In the morning take a raspberry leaf tablet. Another walk and then you are on your way!!

ALternativel book an appointment for something you really want to do and that should work!

I'm 40 + 5 soph, sweep on Monday then I'll be booked in to be induced! Managed to go into labour 24 hours before induction appt last time at 41+ 5! Here's hoping, just been for a long walk, 3 nice big BH contractions but nothing since!

Have been taking raspberry leaf tablets. Had a curry last night but no rhubarb!

It's not easy to get rest when you have 2 toddlers already but I have persuaded dh to take holiday from tuesday no matter what as I can't stand the thought of being home alone with the dc's for another week!!!

Oh can I join you? I am not quite overdue yet (due this week) but am soooo fed up. I am in so much pain, my bump is massive and so I keep bumping into things, and I am generally feeling pretty down. I have tried everything, and this is my 3rd. Was really late both times before, and induced.

DH should be happy about the new thing to add to my list bobsmum. Not that I am. The whole sex thing is really ridiculous when 9 months pregnant - like a big whale...

Hello, I'm another one to join the overdue club. 41 + 3 and due for sweep tomorrow. Have mixed feelings about it and have tried the other remedies (pineapple, walks, raspberry leaf tea. Even the prostaglandin "ingestion" that DH kindly researched on the internet!). Was hoping for homebirth and really don't want induction but what more can you do???

DS1 14 days late - sweep at 41 weeks then induced at 42 without any choice and it all went pear shaped - emergency Csection under general - woke up with tearful husband next to me with blue blanket.

Now 40 weeks plus 4 days and can see the same happening...

But keeping a positive outlook - keep telling self, no two pregnancies or births the same and the only way near me with that crochet hook to induce will be if they knock me out first.

Plan stuff to do everyday till two weeks over - bank on going three weeks over max and just think how tidy and organised the house will be by then and how many cakes you'll have baked! Chin up - even another 14 days a a short time really.
