I'm coming on here for some advice as I'm slightly panicking (I'm really panicking lol)
I'm 14 weeks 2 days today, had 2 scans and all is okay with baby so far, still have pregnancy symptoms etc. But I have just wiped and noticed light pink discharge not enough to cover a pad or anything and I also don't have any pains/ cramps. I have been googling, and I've read its normal, unless paired with pains or if there is actual bleeding. I guess Im just coming on here to see if anyone has experienced the same, and if everything turned out ok?

Hiya! If you notice any bleeding I would contact your early pregnancy unit or your midwife? Just to be safe. I was 8 weeks pregnant when I noticed pink in my discharge when I wiped and then later turned out much much heavier with cramps and I sadly miscarried. It’s always better to be safe and get it checked early if you can! all the best of luck xx

Oh god ok, so I could end up miscarrying? I haven't had any pains or anything? Really wasn't the answer I wanted or expected... Thank you though I'll give them a call 😕

I wasn’t suggesting that you could end up miscarrying - I was sharing my experience as I had something similar in the beginning, mine just ended in a miscarriage sadly. Any bleeding at all should be taken seriously in early pregnancy and it’s worth the call.

I'm going to suggest something a little odd as I don't think this is very common. But it's what happened to me, so it's possible.

I am 18 weeks pregnant. At around 10 weeks I can some SUPER minor "spotting". In fact, there was never anything in my underwear and when I wiped after peeing, it was so minimal it was the size of the tip of a pen most times. A couple of times there was ever so slightly more when wiping, but still light pink.

This has happened several times since then. Only lasts a day or two. I think it has happened 4 times total. The problem? I am prone to micro-tears down there. I got my husband to inspect me after the first incidence and that's when we found out the issue. 3 of the times, the micro-tears have been on the entrance to the vagina and the 4th time it was on the labia. Very strange. Not sure why it happens. I must be extra dry down there or something.

Another possibility is a subchorionic hematoma. They're very common and not usually harmful to the baby.

But I would definitely give your midwife a call to be sure what it is.
