Had my GTT this morning as I was ‘borderline’ last pregnancy and also family history. Midwife rang me this afternoon and said the fasting result was 4.8 fine but the 2 hour result was 2.9 and did I feel ok?? I felt fine, ready for a sandwich but not shaky or anything like that, surely if that result was correct I would have felt funny?? I assumed she would say I needed to do the test again but she seemed happy so long as I felt ok. Just seems odd to me I thought it was supposed to
go up after the drink, I’m sure at my last one the 2 hour test was 7.something 🤷‍♀️

I had the same call with my second daughter and mines were a bit lower than yours! I also felt absolutely fine 😂 they just told me to keep an eye on things!

You may have just had a reactive hypoglycaemia. If you have a read about it, it says it may be a precursor to diabetes etc etc however many people have them when they ingest a large amount of carbohydrate (GTT drink) or aren't eating regular, balanced meals. Just one of those things that can happen. I wouldn't worry unless it's happening all the time and you're symptomatic of it

@justanothermanicmonday1 @remaininghopeful23 thanks both! I’ll keep an eye on it.
