35 weeks pregnant signs of labour

What were your earliest signs your body was preparing for labour the second time? I'm 35 weeks with my second baby, and my bump has dropped drastically over the last few days. I've barely been able to sleep the last two nights from just being so uncomfortable, tossing and turning all night. Then from last night I've been having a lot of Braxton hicks (I think?? I don't remember having these first time round), a lot of lower back pain that comes and goes, insane nausea again and a lot of discharge. Is it normal at this stage or should I be preparing for birth? I just feel very off and I don't remember this last time.

In a slight panic as, I'm sure most relate, second baby has meant I've been a lot less organised this time - still haven't washed or packed anything, and I'm still working for another couple of weeks so not sure when I'm going to squeeze in the organising. I was 2 weeks late first time so I was expecting to be late again, which is why nothing is done!

How did everyones first birth compare to your second?? I'd love to hear

Wasn't 35 weeks but with my 2nd I went into labour at 38 weeks. I'd been having horrible braxton hicks for about week, apparently at some point these changed to very subtle contractions though. 2 days before DC was born I felt like he was literally going to fall out of me. The night before I was crampy like my period was due and my back was achy. Went to bed after a warm bath thinking I'd just walked too far that day (I was trying to get him to move by this point). My waters broke about 4 hours after the cramps and back ache started.
