I was having scans every 2 weeks because they insisted my baby was so big. Terrified me.
He was 8lb1oz 🙄

They get it wrong all the time!

I had a growth scan with my first because he was measuring a week or two ahead and he weighed 7lb 14. They get it wrong all the time, I wouldn't worry.

All the other measurements are fine and he's healthy so I'm hoping it's all ok

DD showed having a really small head. She came out perfectly normal. I wonder if the head is at a certain angle when they measure it can be a bit off?

A friend in this line of work said, remember they are trying to measure a squiggling thing, curled up in a ball, in a bucket of water, with a big old tent over the top it using an ultrasound. Its not going to be the most accurate.

Obviously listen to medical advise but one friend was told it was vital she had a c section as baby was so huge etc etc and baby was 7lb4. I had no flags and a G&A water birth for my 8lb10 beauty with no tearing or anything.

So pinch of salt and dont panic! Look at the BRAIN acronym from positive birthing company to help you ask the right questions.

I had several growth scans and was induced at 39 weeks because they were sure my son was a really big baby. He was 7lb 4oz. There’s a very good chance the scan is wrong so try not to worry.
