I hope that this is okay to ask, my anxiety is taking over.

I estimated that I was 10 weeks pregnant. I went for a private scan today and I'm 6 weeks. There was a steady heartbeat which is great, but I have no symptoms, I'm a month behind where I thought I should be and I'm just panicking. Does this sound okay or would you be worried? Not seen a midwife yet so don't have anyone professional to ask.

Were you tracking ovulation OP? Are your cycles generally regular?

LMP is just an initial guide but not always accurate although 4 weeks is a big difference. I'm now 19 weeks and regularly measure 10-12 days what LMP would show me as because of my irregular cycles.

How long age did you get the positive test?

purplespink · 04/11/2024 18:00

@Pandasnacks a week
@sel2223 no I wasn't tracking, going off previous AF dates.

It's a great sign that you've seen a heartbeat but of course there are no guarantees and this stage is very high risk for everyone.
Have you arranged to go back in a couple of weeks?

If you don’t know exactly when you ovulated and you only did a test a week ago, it’s hard to say.

I think it’s best to go to your early pregnancy unit in a week, to check for growth. Private scanners won’t provide much guidance. I hope it’s all fine x
