@Firsttimetrier that's good news!! 🤞🏼

No advice regarding the sensation, due to my baby being breech. I've felt a constant heaviness in my pelvis (he's footling and his feet were engaged in my pelvis at last scan) and it certainly feels like it 😂

But .... IM HAVING A BABY TOMORROW!!! 🥹🥳

Lunamoon23 · 11/12/2024 21:07

@HelterSkelter224 thank you!
@RedRobyn2021 no, I've got to go in for 7.30am, but I won't know what time I'm going to theatre until around 8.30am I think my midwife said. I'm really starting to feel anxious now... don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight 😂

Try your best! Have a big dinner as well! It's a pain not being able to eat

RedRobyn2021 · 11/12/2024 21:20

Excited for you @Lunamoon23 good luck. I've heard they get the baby out quite quickly and then spend a long time closing, meanwhile you can have baby on you 😭 it's going to be so special

Lunamoon23 · 11/12/2024 21:22

@RedRobyn2021 I'm just praying I can keep my anxiety under wraps tomorrow. Scared I'm just going to be a scared mess 😂 I want to try and enjoy the process but it is difficult. Yes! Apparently it's about 6-10 minutes once they start and baby is out, then about 30-45 minutes stitching up but your holding baby by then and it all flys by. (I'm hoping that's true) haha.

It will fly by honestly, I felt like I'd barely held my daughter when she was born but it had actually been a long time. It's quite overwhelming the moment, so don't give yourself any pressure just feel whatever you feel

My first thought when I saw my daughter was "you do not look like how I imagined" and I felt like they were handing me a stranger it was so odd.

But I know other women have said they have felt an overwhelming rush of love at first sight.

Lunamoon23 · 12/12/2024 23:27

Thank you ladies!!

He's here 🥹🥰😍 - no name yet. But he's beautiful and we are besotted. He's been an absolute dream, so content and chill. Hasn't cried once! (Not letting it lure me into a false sense of security though haha) he was born at 9.31am this morning, and weighs 7lb13oz. He's a pooping machine mind you.
About to try and get some rest as haven't slept longer than 3 hours in the last 48. Hope everyone is doing well.

MaybeBaby2024 · 13/12/2024 00:34

Congratulations @Lunamoon23 so happy for you 💕 rest up and enjoy your little bundle.

Firsttimetrier · 13/12/2024 01:42

HelterSkelter224 · 13/12/2024 03:50

Twinkletwinklelil · 13/12/2024 04:01

Congrats @Lunamoon23
wonderful news! So happy for you.
hope you get some rest. I’m currently in the thick of cluster feeding so enjoy some sleep while you can 😂🥰

RedRobyn2021 · 13/12/2024 04:21

Congratulations @Lunamoon23

Lunamoon23 · 13/12/2024 06:27

Thank you again ladies. Sadly, only got about a hour to an hour and a half of sleep. Despite being in a side room and being blessed with a baby who I'm pretty certain is A living angel 😇 we are right next door to a open ward and some poor mum's had a horrific first night with baby crying virtually non stop.
But happy all the same, has meant I can just stare at my beautiful boy all evening. He's slept like a dream, he's only woke for a nappy change and feed every 3-4 hours, and even then we're waking him, and still zero crying.

Just had my catheter removed, so now to drink a gazzilion drinks to get my 3 pees out so we can get home 💙
How's everyone doing? X

Sounds amazing @Lunamoon23 🥰
so glad it all went well for you!
baby boy sounds like an angel!! I hope it lasts for you - I had about a week of very similar sleep with my girl but like I said the cluster feeds have kicked in 😂

LilyJessie · 13/12/2024 11:48

@Lunamoon23 such wonderful news!! Not the no sleeping part, but the fact he is here and safe.
Can't wait to meet my baby!
Hope you get back to home comforts as soon as possible xxx

xx11x · 13/12/2024 12:48

@Lunamoon23 congratulations!
Hope you get home soon, how did you find the c-section process?
I'm starting to get a bit more anxious/curious the closer I get to the date.
