@MaybeBaby2024 I know, I can't believe it's December either. We're at the same stage pretty much (I'm 36 weeks tomorrow). It's scary isn't it!!

OP posts:

Hi ladies,
Following my growth scan at 35 weeks + 1 where baby was only 10th centile and 5lb 3 Oz and potentially an induction

Today at 37 + 1 I had a growth scan and now he is above the 50th centile and now 6lbs 14 Oz.

Soooo good news 😊 I reckon they fucked up my scan at 35 weeks as it was the only one that was ever off.

LilyJessie · 01/12/2024 20:11

@starryx
Great news!! Frustrating they got you all worried for nothing but what a relief xxx

Lunamoon23 · 01/12/2024 20:17

@RedRobyn2021 @CatCaretaker that reassuring to know. I haven't retried today to be honest, just haven't got round to it. Me and husband went out for a lovely Sunday carvery lunch, for the last time just the two of us ❤️

I've got my pre op appointment tomorrow morning. Intrigued to see what happens and is said. My sister is coming with me, I didn't want hubby to take anymore time off work before paternity starts, but wanted someone with me to help retain any information I may forget. Then going to have a little mooch around a retail park. Making the most of these moments where it's just easy to take myself out 😂

10 days to go!! Crazy to think all/most our babys will be here within weeks now!

@starryx that's great news! Least that's reassuring to know!

@Twinkletwinklelil hoping things have progressed for you! 🤞🏼 also, I could be wrong, but if @HopefulElle is in this groups Facebook page, I think she may well have had baby!! Unless there
two people who are experiencing very similar situations. I could be wrong. Hopefully she'll be by soon to update us.

LilyJessie · 01/12/2024 20:21

@Lunamoon23
Ahhhh wonderful news if so!!
I don't have Facebook so I have to get the updates on here.
I wouldn't mind a WhatsApp group if anyone fancied that too mind!!

Also, sounds like a wholesome Sunday. Pre op will be great for getting all your information. Hope it goes well. Xx

Anyone else feeling super deflated that baby isn't showing any signs of wanting to vacate the premises yet?

I'm "only" 37+2 but have been having labor signs for weeks, and been engaged on and off plus cervix has been changing, mucus plugs lost and regrow etc.

Just either come or settle down in there.

Soontobemumof2kids · 01/12/2024 20:40

What is the name of the Facebook group for this thread please? xx

@OnNaturesCourse
I am trying my hardest not to think about it all (37 weeks tomorrow) to try and keep myself calm in the hope it helps.
I haven't had huge amounts of signs. A few period pains sporadically over the next couple of weeks.
But I am a bit fed up. I want her here, and not in five weeks!

I'm 37+1 and yes me too!!!

I've been fixating on how long we might have yet and wanting her here soon and feeling so uncomfortable and fed up

I'm probably still going to be pregnant in January, my midwife said she's found most women have a similar gestation period for all their children and my first was 12 days over, so if that was the case again, that would bring us to early January

I honestly don't know how my body can accommodate this baby getting any bigger

Anyway, I waited until 12 days over with my first and I didn't have any sweeps and declined induction and waited, when she came I was over the bloody moon that I waited, had a very good birth at home and it was worth the discomfort and it was worth everything for that experience. I just need to stop fixating on the weeks and just let the days go by one by one, they aren't going to come until they're ready and tbh I wouldn't want it any other way really

I've added the link above, it's the only way to access the group but it will expire after 24 hours x

OnNaturesCourse · 01/12/2024 21:07

@RedRobyn2021 that's interesting what your midwife said, mine have all been between 37 & 38 weeks so I think that's why I'm getting impatient too. But at my last appointment baby wasn't even engaged anymore - completely moved out of the battle station - so I think this one is going to throw me a curveball. All my usual "tricks" (kerb walking, sex, nipple stimulation...) have failed so far this time.

I don't think being slightly older and having other kids to cart on school runs and activities etc this time round is helping either. My body is tired.

RedRobyn2021 · 01/12/2024 21:11

@OnNaturesCourse

Ah well you probably won't be too much longer then

My midwife also said she finds that having other children can delay things a bit too because we're so busy mothering the others, I was thinking I'm gonna be in this for the long haul as my daughter is being so difficult at the moment, I've been quite stressed with her. She is 3 not far off 4 and this is definitely the most difficult age so far 😭

OnNaturesCourse · 01/12/2024 21:11

@RedRobyn2021 a January baby would be lovely too, something to look forward to after Christmas plus birthdays and Christmas would be more separate as they grow up ❤️

OnNaturesCourse · 01/12/2024 21:14

@RedRobyn2021 my little one is nearly 4 too - it's a hard age and we are potty training too right in between all the Christmas activities coming up so it is stressful and I have wondered if that's delaying things. I tend to get lots of signs and jump scares about labor when the kids are either at school or away for the day with relatives.. Would tie in with my body relaxing a little bit maybe.

What is your due date again?

Lunamoon23 · 01/12/2024 21:18

@LilyJessie I just saw your other post, regarding weight. Please be assured, I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and I've gained a whopping 3 stone... I'm usually very petite, size 6-8, can generally eat what I like and weight doesn't go on. However, during pregnancy, it's STUCK to me. I've had moments where I've gotten really down about it. I look and feel very different (although my husband tells me I look no different, just pregnant) I think he's being kind 😂 I've never been a breakfast or lunch eater, and during pregnancy, that's continued as I just haven't felt hungry. Yet, here I am... 3 stone heavier. I've occasionally indulged, but up until last Wednesday, I'm on my feet all day, 5 days a week doing 10,000+ steps a day. It hasn't made a difference. They do say the smaller you are pre pregnancy, the more weight you need to/tend to gain. But I'll admit, it's shocked me. But, we're so close to the end now... I'd try not to worry about it. You'll be so busy once baby is here, I'm sure it'll come off relatively quickly. Just know you're not alone. ❤️

LilyJessie · 01/12/2024 21:34

@Lunamoon23
Ahhhhh you're so kind you actually made me get a bit emotional (in a good way!)
I have tried really hard to stay healthy, but same as you, it's just all stuck on!
I know it's all so super worth it though.
Not long now is there 🤗😍 xxx

My little one is nearly 2.5 and I was wondering the other day how the hell I’m going to get the oxytocin flowing when he’s in a period of meltdowns 😩😂. Don’t get me wrong, absolutely love the boy but woah, we’re definitely in the midst of the terrible twos!

Having said that, I’m so active chasing after him when he’s not at nursery, I’m hoping that’s a good thing?! Pretty much every day I’m lifting him, carrying him, giving piggy backs or playing horses where I’m crawling around the living room 😂 hoping that’s will get the baby down and out, but who knows!

HopefulElle · 01/12/2024 21:57

Hi all, after being admitted for pre eclampsia on Thursday, and a pretty awful experience of induction, our son Otto arrived via c section this afternoon. We are delighted, exhausted and obsessed xx

LilyJessie · 01/12/2024 22:30

@HopefulElle
Congratulations 👏🏼🎉
So sorry to hear it was a difficult experience.
Wonderful that you met Otto today, and enjoy your baby bubble xxxx

Lunamoon23 · 01/12/2024 22:43

@LilyJessie aww I'm sorry babe. But yeah, sadly it happens to some of us! But you're not alone. Just try to keep reminding yourself your body is doing what it needs to do to support you and your growing baby. And once the other side, a lot of it will drop off and what doesn't, you know you can get it off. It is hard though, this is my first pregnancy and I've really struggled with watching my body change so rapidly and completely (well mostly) out of my control. My face has become so round and I've gained a chin 😂 my thigh gap is gone and I can't see my ankles anymore 😂 but... we are so close to the end! And although your friend probably meant no malicious by her comment, they're not helpful when you're already feeling insecure.. try to pay no attention. Xxx
