Cervical ectropion at 11 weeks

Hi everyone,

I am 11 weeks and 2 days at the moment and very excited to become a mum. I started having brown discharge 2 days ago (saturday) which turned to blood in the evening. But no cramps or back ache. I went to A&E with my partner to get checked over. My observations were fine and the nurse checked my cervix and it was still closed. But there was bloody mucus which she suspects is cervical ectropion. My 12 week scan is supposed to be 13th November but they managed to get me a sooner appointment with them this coming Thursday. I'm still bleeding, but only when I wipe. I'm not saturating a pad and have had them on for a day at a time with minimal blood/ brown discharge in them by the end of the day. I've passed a few small blood clots/ tissue yesterday so my concerns are growing. I feel fine with in myself (minus being incredibly anxious and worried). It's now monday and I'm still seeing blood when I wipe. Did anyone else have this and still go on to have a healthy baby?

Thanks in advance for any comments 🥺

Yep! I had a cervical ectropian when pregnant with my son!

I had bleeding throughout his pregnancy .. some fairly heavy and had to have an over night hospital stay.

went on to have healthy baby who's 9 now!

I had the ectropian quaterizsd 3 months after his birth

Thanks @LadyGrey33 . It's always comforting hearing someone else has gone through the same as you amd still went on to have a healthy baby. This is my first child, so I'm going through the usual worries. My partner and I also haven't told any family or friends yet as we wanted to wait until we knew the baby was healthy at the 12 week point, so I only currently have him to speak to who is also feeling the same emotions as me! Finding this website was a god send.

Have a great day 😀

Had it with my first. Went to 38 weeks and then waters broke but I don't know if that was even linked as that also happened with my other pregnancy.

I was 10 days over due ..

I will say though that the bleeding did get worse as pregnancy progressed due to the added pressure of the growing pregnancy

I had it with my first baby too so I understand the worry x
