Pain down there, should I be worried?

Hi!
I'm 31 weeks today. For the last few days I've felt a lot of pressure very low down near my vagina, and some sharp feelings, like the baby is kicking my bladder almost?
Is this normal in the third trimester, or is it a sign of early labour. Is it the baby dropping?
Is that normal or abnormal at this many weeks?
This is my second baby, but I had no similar symptoms with my first.
Thanks!

Sounds normal to me but please rung your midwife to check.

Hi there, it's a labour ward midwife. What you have described sounds concerning to me. I suggest you call the maternity triage at your local hospital. They are open 24/7

Thanks! Its not constant, sometimes there's no pain at all. It just feels odd when it does happen. Could it just be baby resting on a nerve or something? I ask because getting to the hospital is a very long way and I don't drive at the moment. Is it normal to sometimes feel pain at this stage? Not unbearable pain, just lightening crotch type stuff I imagine? Thanks!

I'd go to be checked out tonight, never worth the risk, although I'm sure all will be fine.

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and have had what sounds similar for weeks now. I just put it down to lightening crotch. It doesn't last long and I think baby is head down and just putting pressure down there more now. I'd ring the midwife if you're concerned but I've not felt the need to so far 🙂

I’ve had that on and off, plus bleeding (cervical ectropian causing that)

i was worried too and went in for monitoring, I was worried baby was going to come out she felt so low! But all was fine, sometimes they just hang out really low down. And it can really hurt when they kick the bladder.

id Still get it checked though x

Just saw your message.... I don't work in maternity triage so I don't know how common or serious your problem is. I wouldn't ignore but maybe you can call maternity triage first and follow their advice as whether you should come in? They might be able to refer you to your local GP if you explain your situation with commute
