Did you just 'know' the sex of the baby?

This is mostly for a bit of fun, but I just wondered if anyone had a strong 'knowing' or 'feeling' of what they were having which was later confirmed they were right?

I am currently having a strong feeling it's a girl, which is surprising me as I was convinced for most of my life it would be a boy first. (Seems to be the trend in all my fam)

I guessed correctly with my three but it's just luck/coincidence isn't it.

Lunamoon23 · 03/11/2024 17:16

Yes, I was convinced right from the moment I found out I was pregnant it was a boy. And it was 💙

coldcallerbaiter · 03/11/2024 17:17

I knew my first one and was correct, hoped for the others but did not know, was correct too!

Sayshesheshe · 03/11/2024 17:17

We didn’t find out the sex and spent the whole time calling it he, utterly convinced it was a boy.

When they held her up post-c section it took us both quite a while to realise she had no penis.

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 03/11/2024 17:18

No.
I was convinced I was having a girl the first time. Girls run very heavily in my family and even though I know it's the man that determines sex I still assumed I'd have a girl.

yipyipyop · 03/11/2024 17:18

Yes I knew each time.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 03/11/2024 17:18

I was convinced I was having a boy, didn't even bother thinking of girl names and refused a bag of free baby girl clothes.

When dd was born I was 🤦‍♀️😂

staybyyou · 03/11/2024 17:18

I 'knew' my first was a boy, he was. The second I had no idea throughout.

peppermintteacup · 03/11/2024 17:20

I definitely had ideas, and they turned out to be right! But I was just guessing really and was still really excited to find out the truth.

ChristmasJumpers · 03/11/2024 17:23

Yes, I absolutely knew with my second that it was a boy. Told everyone I was 100% positive and just had that intuition this time around. I'm actually having a second girl - I keep asking for confirmation at every scan 😂

Lampzade · 03/11/2024 17:24

I knew the sex of my three dcs because each time I was pregnant I dreamt about their sex.
I had the sex of dc1 confirmed at a scan, however I didn’t find out the sex of dc2 and dc3 until they were born

Pumpkinseason3 · 03/11/2024 17:26

I knew 100%!! He couldn’t have been anything other than a boy 😂 he just felt like a boy. All my family and customers in my work kept telling me everyday that I was having a girl and suggesting girls names 😂

We chose not to find out the sex but went to the hospital with DH and I arguing because I refused to discuss girls names and DH was feeling stressed and unprepared incase it was a girl. Baby was born and DH announced “oh my gosh! We have a boy!!” and I’m rolling my eyes like “I’ve been telling you that for the last 9 months” 😂

I 'knew' with both of mine, and was wrong both times 😅

Same. Mine were 100% both boys in my mind. But I have two girls. Before kids I always pictured myself with two boys, and both pregnancies I was completely convinced they were boys, even after scans I thought they must have got it wrong and still bought unisex clothes, and decorated very neutral nurseries, as I KNEW they were boys. I had dreams while pregnant of giving birth to boys, had names chosen, and just had such a strong feeling I'd be leaving the hospital with boys. They most certainly aren't, and both are extremely "girly" girls. I actually had no preference either way, but was so utterly convinced they were going to be boys, especially having the dreams of me with boy babies throughout both pregnancies, it did take a while to adjust to the fact they were in fact girls! Wouldn't change it for the world, and couldn't imagine not having my girls now, but it was so bizarre that I had such an overwhelmingly strong feeling, and it was so so wrong.. . Don't trust my lack of intuition now 🤣

Rhaidimiddim · 03/11/2024 17:37

Inwas convinced my first was a boy. Knotted everything in blus, referred to the baby as Little Jack all though. Totally convinced!

I had a girl 😅

Don’t fear, little boys are lovely too 😊

Boys are the best 🥰

Matildahoney · 03/11/2024 18:44

I was 99% sure I was having a boy, and I was right.

Mumof2namechange · 03/11/2024 18:44

I felt I knew but was wrong both times.

First I thought would be a boy, she was a girl.
Second I was convinced would be twins, so convinced that I thought one must have disappeared by the first scan (no evidence that there was ever a twin!) And I was convinced it was a girl but then had a (single) boy.

Also, got worse morning sickness with my son.

It's all rubbish basically. You've no way of knowing except ultrasound image

AnneLovesGilbert · 03/11/2024 18:45

Yes. I was absolutely sure both times. And completely wrong, both times. Wasn’t bothered enough to find out, which was just as well.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 03/11/2024 18:47

I was certain my first was a boy. Wasn’t so sure with my second but leaned towards a girl til about 36 weeks and then switched and thought boy.

2 boys

torturedpoet13 · 03/11/2024 18:48

I knew this one was a boy from the moment I found out I was pregnant, everyone around me kept saying girl but I just knew - and he is 🌈

ColdWaterTherapy · 03/11/2024 18:49

Convinced I was having a boy, had a boy! But that’s 50/50 odds, so I’m not claiming anything

However, in a way I felt my instinct was more reliable because I knew I was pregnant 48 hours after conception (after 9 years trying). It’s not common but I felt what I can only describe as a ‘burrowing’ feeling over the course of several days and I knew it had happened. So me being sure about him being a boy doesn’t seem so strange in comparison.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 03/11/2024 18:51

I just 'knew' my first baby would be a brown eyed boy (I have grey eyes, XH had green'hazel eyes) and I was right.
I 'knew' my second baby would be a girl and I was right.
When it got to number three, I was very wavery on the sex, but I 'knew' this baby would be quieter than the other two. She was a girl and didn't speak until she was two and a half.
With four and five I really didn't know at all, in fact I thought five would be a boy, although I didn't have any really strong feelings about it. She wasn't.

Theirishwoman · 03/11/2024 18:53

Didn’t find out the sex and was so convinced I was having a girl I knit a purple hat and cardigan set for ‘her’. Lo and behold my little boy is standing here beside me right now. He still wore the matching set though!!

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 03/11/2024 19:09

My friend did with both, i didn't have a clue
