This is mostly for a bit of fun, but I just wondered if anyone had a strong 'knowing' or 'feeling' of what they were having which was later confirmed they were right?

I am currently having a strong feeling it's a girl, which is surprising me as I was convinced for most of my life it would be a boy first. (Seems to be the trend in all my fam)

I was absolutely convinced I was having a boy, had gone out and bought boy clothes I was so certain! I was actually having a girl and had to return them🤣

WhereIsMyLight · 03/11/2024 15:33

Yes. Even had a dream in which I gave them a first and second name (neither were currently on the list). I was wrong.

sel2223 · 03/11/2024 15:34

I did in my first pregnancy. I 'knew' I was having a girl, was dreaming about her from early on, decided on a name easily etc. I genuinely wasn't bothered but would have been gobsmacked if baby turned out to be a boy as I felt it with absolute 100% certainty. Sure enough, she was a girl.

Second pregnancy, no. I guessed boy early on just because my symptoms and cravings were so different to my first pregnancy but other than that, I had no strong feelings either way. No dreams, no gut feeling etc.
We're having another girl 🩷

Mumofteenandtween · 03/11/2024 15:38

Yep. I knew. I always knew.

I was wrong. But that is a tiny insignificant detail in my opinion. 😂

boomsi · 03/11/2024 15:39

I wouldn't say I necessarily 'knew', but with both pregnancies I could only think of girls names. Couldn't think of a single boys name that I liked.

I had 2 girls.

Hahahah I fear this will be me 🤣

I was convinced my baby was a boy and said as much to my partner the week before we found out. I was right - but then the odds were always going to be 50/50...

Lifeglowup · 03/11/2024 16:43

Yes but I only had a 50% success rate.

teatoast8 · 03/11/2024 16:44

Yes. With my second. I had the rage. Knew it was a girl

Hedonism · 03/11/2024 16:44

I 'knew' with both of mine, and was wrong both times 😅

Cinai2 · 03/11/2024 16:45

I knew, but I’m a firm believer in the ‘you get much more sick with a girl’ theory (which I know is not correct for every one but it was the case for my sister also). I wasn’t very sick so I was sure I had a boy, and I was right. I was so convinced that I only thought about boy names.

Christwosheds · 03/11/2024 16:45

Yes I did know, and I was right both times. Weirder though is that dd1, who was about 19m, said to me that I had a baby in my tummy and it was a little girl. I’d only just found out that I was pregnant.

Min133 · 03/11/2024 16:47

Up until 18 weeks I had no instinct one way or the other. Then I just knew we were having a boy. 20 week scan confirmed I was right.

I'm 1 of 3 girls, my sister had 3 girls and my nieces have all had girls. Typical of me to be the one that goes against the grain 😂

FinallyMovingHouse · 03/11/2024 16:50

Knew every time and was wrong every time!

Ellsx6 · 03/11/2024 16:51

Yep. Before I was pregnant I would only ever see myself having a boy..got pregnant and the boy feeling was so intense I just KNEW. everyone was saying oh it could be a girl and id argue and say nope I know it's a boy..said baby revealed himself at 13+3. Im 23 weeks now and he's still a very clear flashy boy!!🤣

MuffinDadoCappuccino · 03/11/2024 16:52

I ‘knew’ both times, both times I was wrong. With our first it was a real shock when she was born, I was so adamant she was going to be a boy.

Thewholeplaceglitters · 03/11/2024 16:56

I was absolutely sure, and am always right with other people so was really, really certain about mine.

I was wrong. Both times.

MaryGreenhill · 03/11/2024 16:56

I was convinced my first baby was a boy but she was ,obviously ,a girl , however , l knew my second baby was a girl .

MammaKel · 03/11/2024 16:57

I knew my second would be a girl before conception (I just got lucky).

KohlaParasaurus · 03/11/2024 16:59

No, not with any of my pregnancies.

DappledThings · 03/11/2024 17:05

I felt certain DS was a boy. But it's nonsense. I had a 50% chance of being right so it's hardly surprising I was. I don't believe for a second anyone actually knows. It's silly.

Relaxedandchilled · 03/11/2024 17:08

Yes and I was right, kept saying it was a girl and she is.

teatoast8 · 03/11/2024 17:14

It was a definite feeling with my daughter. Your hormones are higher with a girl and they certainly were. I wanted to knock people out 😅😅

AChangeIsAsGood · 03/11/2024 17:15

I knew from the moment I did the test. I was right. Only one child so a 100% success rate!

Moonshiners · 03/11/2024 17:15

I was 100% certain that t
dS2 was a girl. 😁
