False positive Premom test?!

Yesterday evening I did a Premom LH test and a Premom HCG test. I placed them next to each other while I waited for them to ‘finish’, and I could see a really really faint light pink line on the HCG test. This line appeared within 2 minutes. The LH test was dark, but negative. The first 3 pictures are of yesterday’s test, the fourth picture is of todays.

This morning I repeated the HCG test and it’s completely negative. Period not due for another two days. Could the LH test have turned the HCG test positive somehow, like through a dye transfer? Trying to work out if this is a possibility before I drop a small fortune on tests. Also upset about having a false positive!

As hard as it is I would wait another 2 days until period is late or buy a test that's an early detect one and do it first thing in the morning, I'm so sorry this has happened to you xx

Sounds like a chemical pregnancy.

Wouldn’t a chemical be accompanied by blood though?

It might simply be that the concentration of HCG in your urine was too low to detect in the second test. Maybe you drank more liquid which would dilute the HCG more. The line is very faint indicating a low concentration anyway which is normal in early tests. Wait a few more days and test again. The same happened to me. I got 4 days of positive pink lines, all faint but gradually getting darker. Then I did a 5th and it looked negative. I decided then to not test and wait and see if my period comes. I hope you get the result you want. X

I have lined up a hcg and lh test directly above and it transferred over so it’s deffo possible

Usually with a chemical your period arrives on time or late. Not early.
