Spotting/discharge-1st trimester

Hello-

im wondering if anyone has had spotting in the first trimester. I don’t remember it with my daughter but that was 8 years ago so I’m very stressed out now.

my OB said that I should be fine- but I haven’t been seen yet in person so I’m just scared.

my last cycle started Sept 21 and I tested positive on Oct 23 and confirmed by blood test on Oct 27 but have been getting this discharge.

im hoping it’s nothing but I don’t know what to do or who to ask I don’t know anyone who’s been pregnant recently

I had spotting/bleeding of various colours between 5 and 16 weeks. All was OK for me, though I was in touch with the EPU for advice and on a couple of occasions scans. I was told that bleeding is also common in pregnancies that continue, though there was always the possibility of miscarriage. They were less concerned when the bleeding was brown than when it was red.

Hoping for the best for you - I found that stage very stressful because of the bleeding.
